ACE Center for New Americans

99 Church St, Lowell, MA 01852

HOURS:

Thursdays from 3:00–5:00pm (flexible).

QUALIFICATIONS:

» Ability to pass a CORI background check.

» Willingness to work with refugee and immigrant communities.

DUTIES:

» Work under the direction of the ACE Shoppe Manager.

» Assist with maintaining and presenting inventory in the ACE Shoppe.

» Assist with soliciting and picking up in-kind donations for the shop (this may include solicitation through outreach via telephone calls, emails, and/or USPS mail).

» Staff the shop as families come to select items.

» Monitor the amount of goods taken by each family.

» Take note of any special needs mentioned by persons utilizing ACE Shoppe services and report to ACE Shoppe Manager.

» Immediately report all disclosures of abuse or neglect from minors, elders, or disabled individuals. This is mandatory.

» Maintain attendance and participation records utilizing registration forms and database records.

» Be aware of emergency procedures and the location of emergency equipment. Guide others in the event of an emergency.

» Participate in maintaining a safe and organized space.

» Assist in maintaining files, both digital and paper.

» Assist with other duties as needed and assigned by ACE Shoppe Manager and/or leadership.
