Mental Health Mentor/Mentee Volunteer
Join ACE's Mentor/Mentee Mental Health Program and make a difference in the lives of New Americans in the Greater Lowell area. As a mentor, you'll provide guidance and support to mentees who are navigating the challenges of settling in a new country, learning a new language, and adapting to a new culture. With a focus on mental health and well-being, this program offers a unique opportunity to create meaningful connections and help others achieve their goals. Description
Through this program, it is your role to help your mentee:
set goals using the SMART system
create a strategic plan to achieve those goals
track progress
evaluate the progress
It is up to you and your mentee if you meet on Zoom or in person. At a minimum, you will need to meet with your mentee once a month to set goals and track progress.
In the initial meeting, you will need to:
fill out the SMART goals form (and send a copy to the office)
discuss and write out a strategic plan to achieve those goals (send it to the office)
track progress on the monthly tracking sheet (send to the office at the end of each month)
evaluate the progress

Going to the gym to build physical and mental health, healthy living
Developing friendships outside of their ethnic community
Spending more time learning about the community around you
Starting a new hobby
