In the waning days of summer 2021 the ACE Center an associative entity of Massachusetts Baptist Multicultural Ministries MBMM) held a Family Fun Festival for the refugee and immigrant families of Lowell, MA. The community gathered at Shedd Park Pavilion for an afternoon of food, family, and fun. Festivities began promptly at 4:00 p.m. and ran until 6:30 p.m

Within the pavilion ACE Center staff and volunteers served steamed hot dogs, fresh popped popcorn, Richie’s slush, and beverages all at no cost to the attendees. Many enjoyed these treats while being entertained by the juggler preforming throughout the event. Balloon twisters were on hand to make a wide range of creations, along with a hula hoop performer. There were also many budding artists in attendance who enjoyed creating sand art and tie-dyed COVID-19 masks.

Outside the pavilion, on the lawn, were outdoor games of every type including Cornhole, Giant Jenga, Connect Four, Ladder Ball, and more for all to play.

We hope everyone who attended had a good time. We hope to see many, if not all of you at future events. We would also like to acknowledge all the Aerialicious Entertainment performers, volunteers, and staff who worked the event and made it a success. A special thank you goes out to Grotonwood Camp and Conference Center who brought the tie dye craft and donated the use of many lawn games.
